DAY 1: LIMA

Arrive in Lima and transfer to the hotel

DAY 2: LIMA – AREQUIPA – CITY TOUR

arequipaAM: Transfer from the airport and take the plane to  Arequipa, arrive and transfer to the hotel
PM:  We begin our tour with the cathedral, and then we will visit the Jesuit Society cloisters (church and dome, the Santa Catalina convent, the Yanahuara point of view with its church, the Carmen Alto point of view, the Sabandía mill, the pre-Inca terraces in Paucarpata and finally a road that will permit you to appreciate the countryside’s landscape.

DAY 3: AREQUIPA – COLCA CANYON 2D/1N: FIRST DAY: AREQUIPA/CHIVAY

cayon colca arequipaAt 7:30 AM pick up from your hotel and departure by bus on your excursion towards the Colca Valley across Yura, Pampa Cañahuas, habitat of herds of vicuñas and stopping at the marshes, to have a sight at birds, as Flamenco. We will stop in the volcanoes point of view, which is also the highest point of our trip (4.800 mts), to appreciate a big part of the occidental mountain range. Arrive into Chivay around 13:00, have lunch there. In the afternoon we have a hike of 2 hours from the beautiful village of Coporaque, in the other side of the river. From there you will have nice views on the other side of the Valley and on a pre-Inca cemetery. Then, if you want, you can relax in the Calera thermal baths.

DAY 4: COLCA CANYON 2D/1N – AREQUIPA : SECOND DAY: CHIVAY/CRUZ DEL CONDOR/AREQUIPA

chivay cruz del condorAt 8:00 am, you will arrive to the “Condor’s Cross” from where this great Andean bird, the Condor, may be spotted flying in circles above still farmed green pre-Hispanic terraces. On the way back to Chivay, we will stop in the villages of Pinchollo, Maca y Yauque, to have a look at their beautiful colonial churches, but also in the Coquetille and Antahuilque points of view. We will have lunch in Chivay and at 13:00 we will return to Arequipa.  Arrive in Arequipa around 17:00 and 18:00.

DAY 5: AREQUIPA – CUSCO – CITY TOUR

cusco-qoricanchaAM: After breakfast transfer from the hotel to Arequipa airport in order to take the plane to Cusco, the flight takes 2 hour and 20 minutes
Arrive in Cusco and transfer to the hotel
PM: pick up from the hotel for the City Tour,  visit the Cathedral, the Temple of the Sun “Qoricancha”, the most important religious site of the Inca period, then visit the Sacsayhuaman Archaeological Park of imposing because of the huge stones (over 80 tons in weight), then continue to Q'enqo, have a  panoramic view of Pucapucara and  finally Tambomachay. Return to the city around 6:00 PM

DAY 6: CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY TOUR

sacred valley cuscoAM: Pick up from the hotel, then depart Cusco, we start visiting Qorao Village, where you could take nice pictures of the landscapes from a lookout site. Also sometimes a handicraft shopping can be taken. The next stop Pisaq, where we enjoy the  traditional market. The lunch is usually  in Urubamba, where the best restaurant services are located. By afternoon we visit Ollantaytambo (an impressive Inca village). The only inca settlement still inhabited in Peru. Afterwards before we finish the tour we visit Chinchero, a colonial village built upon Inca foundation. Return to Cusco around 6:30 pm

DAY 7:  INCA TRAIL 4D/3N: DAY 1 - CUSCO - PISKACUCHO - WAYLLABAMBA

inka trail to machupicchu At 6:00 a.m., we pick the group up from the different hotels. Depart from Cusco and travel to Urubamba, stopping briefly at Ollaytaytambo, where you could buy last minute gear and personal items. Then we move in to Piskacuchu (Km 82) the begging point of the Inca Trail. We will have lunch in Miskay and relax a bit before hiking to our first campsite. Along the way, we will visit the Llactapata archeological site.

DAY 8:  INCA TRAIL 4D/3N: DAY 2 - WAYLLABAMBA - WARMIWAÑUSCA - PAQAYMAYU

huayllabamba cuscoWe start the day early in the morning with a hearty breakfast, and then hike up to the highest point of the Inca Trail. Here, we can see the various ecological zones and microclimates, which make up the area, literally mapped out in front of us. We will cross the Warmiwañusca pass at 4,200 meters/13,780 feet above sea level. After lunch we will continue on to the Pacaymayo campsite, where we will enjoy dinner and a well-deserved rest.

DAY 9:  INCA TRAIL 4D/3N: DAY 3 - PAQAYMAYU - CHAQ´ICOCHA - WIÑAYWAYNA

wiñaywayna-inkatrailOur day begins with a nutritious breakfast and then a 45-minute hike up to the second highest pass on the Trail (3,850 meters/12,631 feet above sea level). Along the way we will visit the Runcuracay archeological site. During the day's hike, we will also visit the Sayacmarca and Phuyupatamarca archeological complexes. After lunch we will head to the Wiñaywayna ruins, where we will spend our last night on the Trail.

DAY 10:  INCA TRAIL 4D/3N: DAY 4 - WIÑAYWAYNA - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO

inka trail machupicchuAfter an early breakfast, we begin the final leg of the trek to the lost city of Machu Picchu. First, we will hike to Inti Punku ("Sun Gate"), where we will take in an inspiring and panoramic view of the Machu Picchu citadel. After a short hike down to Machu Picchu, we will register and then enjoy a 2-hours guided tour of the sanctuary-city. After the tour of Machu Picchu, free time to enjoy the citadel, then we will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, where we will enjoy before returning to Cusco by train.

DAY 11: CUSCO

DAY 12: CUSCO – PUNO

puno peruAM: pick up from the hotel and transfer to the bus station, depart from Cusco around 7:30 am  in the way we will stop in nice places as Andahuaylillas Church, 40 km far from Cusco, it was built in 1580, it is known as the Sixteen Chapel of Peru, then continue to Sicuani, were we will have lunch, after a short rest, we will continue our bus journey to Puno, stopping in la Raya (4335 m.a.s.l.), the highest point, from here you have a nice view of the Andes landscapes, then stop in Pukara and arrive in Puno around 5:00 pm. Transfer to the hotel in Puno

DAY 13: UROS – AMANTANY – TAKILE 2D/1N: DAY 1: PUNO - UROS – AMANTANY

puno uros islandsEarly in the morning we will board a boat and travel to the floating reed islands of the Uros, then continue for approximately two hours by boat to reach the Amantani Island.  After a guided tour by this island, we will have lunch and enjoy an overnight home stay with a local family.

DAY 14: UROS – AMANTANY – TAKILE 2D/1N: DAY 2: AMANTANY – TAKILE - PUNO

Return by boat to Puno, where you will stay the night.

It was a perfect tour. I enjoyed every moment , It was carefully organized. Our guide was very attentive  and experienced, the English level  was excellent  and it was a welcoming and kind host ship. We had information about local culture, plants what made tour incredible and unforgettable.
